I have too many cookbooks. Not only have I run out of bookshelf space for the cookbooks, but have also run out of wall space for more bookshelves. According to a back of the napkin calculation, if I continue to try new recipes at my present rate and do not acquire any more cookbooks (unlikely), it will take me at least fifty years to have tried at least two recipes from every cookbook I own. And I am not even mentioning all the food magazines that I have accumulated over the years.
This is not a satisfactory situation, and so I have decided to increase my rate of cooking from new recipes, and to keep track of these efforts in this blog. For each post I intend to review one or more cookbooks. Of concern will be the physical book itself, the written content, and the quality of the recipes. I intend to test a minimum of two (and ideally more than two) recipes from each cookbook, and present, if possible, my version of one recipe from each cookbook.
Whenever possible, I have provided a link to Amazon for cookbooks that I mention, and occasionally links for other products.
